Best Local Carpet Cleaners is run by Jordan and Karen, a husband-and-wife team. Jordan has been cleaning carpets since 2007 and trained with TACCA (The Approved Carpet Cleaning Alliance); Karen runs the office and is usually the friendly voice you'll get when you ring to book. Every job follows the same careful routine — here's exactly what happens when we turn up at your door.
- We look it over first. Before anything gets wet, we check the carpet or fabric type and go over the problem areas with you — the wine stain by the sofa, the muddy patch by the back door, wherever the dog sleeps. No two jobs are the same.
- Vacuum and pre-spray. A thorough vacuum lifts the dry grit, then we work in a pre-spray to loosen everything the hoover can't shift.
- Hot water extraction. This is the proper deep clean. A solution of hot water and detergent is pushed deep into the pile through a high-pressure nozzle and pulled straight back out. Our Mytee Speedster machine extracts around 95% of the liquid, so carpets come up clean and dry quickly rather than soaked.
- Stains and finishing. Stubborn marks get treated separately with the right product for the job. We groom the pile so it dries evenly, and add a deodoriser if you'd like one.
- You're walking on it the same day. Carpets are usually just damp to the touch afterwards and fully dry within 2–4 hours, depending on the room and how cold the house is.

No need to clear the room completely. We move light furniture as part of the service; we simply ask that you move any fragile or valuable items beforehand.

Can you get every stain out?
We'll always have a proper go, and most stains lift out completely. But we'll be honest with you: we can't promise 100% every time. Very old marks, bleach damage and certain dyes can be permanent whoever cleans them — we'd rather tell you straight than over-promise.
How often should I have my carpets cleaned?
For most homes, once a year keeps things fresh. If you have children, pets, or a hallway that takes a beating, every six months is more realistic. Offices and rental properties usually need it more often.
Do you add VAT or hidden charges?
No. Our pricing is transparent and there's no VAT added on top — you pay what we agree. If parking or a congestion charge applies, we'll always tell you in advance.
